Let's have a wreck of a time

Photo-shoot bloopers photographs.

To start off, Christina and I finally decided on our theme which is patterns. After that everything really did come into place. We put a bunch of garments on top of her bed ( her room is the best it smells of scented candles and it’s so warm). We agreed on the clothes, which included: her Kurt Geiger shoes, my vintage 80’s shoulder padded top/cardigan and this zebra-ish pink dress. We woke up early in the morning, well I did, when I arrived there Kristy and Christie were still in bed. Can you believe it? Loren answered the door, eyed me nicely and was like ” You’re not going to be happy about this but they’re fast asleep”. Let me skip a couple of hours later.

I went into university and booked out the necessary equipment - lighting, SLR camera and tripod, I saw Jasmine and chatted with her for a while then she was off to Camden in attempt to sweet talk bar owners for her own photo-shoot. I’m expecting nothing short of fabulous since she is working with Yo, all the lecturers love him on a different level. Moreover, anyway, Christina then picked me up by car ( in her robe). The equipments were pretty heavy I must say and we eventually got back to the house and got Kristy ready. She looked stunning as we decided on nude make-up, that way all all the focus could be on the clothing and the location. Don’t even let me get started on the location, that comes later - trust me it’s pretty rough.

We were finally ready to depart with two animals ( her bunny and my cat). We picked Julius up because the location freaked us out way too much and us being girls we refused to go without a man. We arrived at the location - that is, a mental asylum! that had been closed ages ago. It was the spookiest thing I’ve seen in my life, it was barred, Christina’s heart was beating a mile away and we couldn’t literally get in because again it was barred. Julius had checked out the place beforehand. Let me tell you one thing - that asylum is one big horror film waiting to happen. I hope none of the crazy students organises anything there, in the near future that is. Never go to ‘West park mental asylum’ unless you want to die, trust me bbz.

Furthermore, since we were unable to use the asylum Julius suggested us going over to the abandoned house which was twice as scary. Well it was an old people’s asylum. What’s more is that it is literally about to collapse - so we’re there and everything goes according to plan until Ollie decides to not be as cooperative as Button and nearly attacks Kristy. Highly funny. Wait, what? Forget about Ollie because there out of the blue lies a horse, yes a horse! Awesome for our photo-shoot because more animals we get. However, I really should call RSPCA because it looked pretty dirty and there was too many needles around him.

On a last note, I loved the whole ‘feel’ of it. Everything went according to plan. I photographed the model and Christina was pretty much the stylist and we got at least three hundred photographs - that’s right. We got more or less one hundred really good ones. Thanks horsey and Kristy. She only did it for a mcdonald’s but I couldn’t be more grateful. I mean she stuck around even after entering that scary-looks-like-Goblin-or-something-from-the-descent-lives-here. I’m pretty happy with the outcome anyhow minus Ollie pissing and the frightening scenario.

I shall upload the actual finished alluring photographs next week. Without a doubt.

University Work - Eccentric animals collide with fashion

We're fully aware of the current happenings. These alluring newest found creatures down under (precisely the twilight zone) left many highly intrigued. The point is, soon enough, these fascinating animas may just collide with fashion. They have taken so many by surprise, so who isn't to say current designers or somebody accredited new in the creative industry won’t base their next collection and thereafter on these species?

In retrospect, it isn't very hard to envisage the futuristic grotesque yet chic garment draped around models made from the likes of Alexander Mcqueen, Vivienne Westwood or perhaps Chanel - who may want subtract elegance and instead add a touch of edge; among other British and International designers. After all Fashion is just an ''innovation'' right?- Actress Katharine Hepburn once said “It would be a terrific innovation if you could get your mind to stretch a little further than the next wisecrack”. Nevertheless who isn’t to say many innovators will not try to grab the first chance to smash together a design hinted with these strange new animals for a touch. Picture this: A shear fabric draped around a model, her garment implied of the sea cucumber as she sashays onward. Would it be regarded as exquisiteness or plain odd?

The photograph below on the left is of the beloved Alexander Mcqueen 2008 Spring ready-to-wear collection, on the right lies a bizarre image of one of the thousands found animal. Now combine both and what do you get? Indeed, brilliance I hope.

( I'm unsure why but blogger won't allow me to upload the full page of microsoft word onto here)

Here they are:

ELECTRIC TWIST

I'm ashamed that I have to yet update my blog. I've been meaning to do it although my laptop is semi-broken therefore it's been precisely difficult. I also am under the weather in addition to having limited time with the tremendous amount of work I have to do. On that note, I have a couple of assignments that I think are rather interesting so I shall upload it this week. Hopefully It'll compensate for my noted ( I hope) absense.

Vintage bubbly dreams. I'll be back tomorrow. Bisoux.

There's nothing like waking up to the wind-up bird chirping outside of your window, Karen O's soothing voice and your fingers grasped on the deadly cigarette you choose to inhale so sweetly. Perfectly wondrous times. Perhaps I should correct myself and actually announce it's the afternoon! This friday revolves on my being able to sleep in late - due to no lectures. How content am I? That's a change. I will also refrain from procrastinating today, well, technically blogging is procrastination itself but to each his own.

Supposedly I believe this is my newest blog, without a doubt, I had major trouble attempting to make this blogspot profile. Here's the thing: I created this amazingly written first post but for an apparent reason it saved incorrectly. I gather you're all following me?! That said, this is a terrible starting point. Well you've got to hand it for me for trying! Monster doesn't seem to care though - he scratches me ever so viciously every five minutes (Pardon me while I move his sleepy tuxedo face away from the keyboard). I'm utterly tres sorry. For now all I've got to say is that I'm hoping this will become a weekly thing, where I come to have wonderful conversations with fellow blogposters and therefore unfold what is on my mind onto geek-chic-tastic blog. It being mostly fashion, news articles, all-things-vintage, I'm currently obsessed with vintage knitwear - I bought this alluring peacock-ish coloured oversized jumper made out of cotton and it happens to be the highlight of my week. Some may call it 'blind love', I call it 'true love'. I shan't get further off subject, so moreover, I may or may not post some of my university projects among other mundane and insane complexed things of my life. Did I mention I'm currently studying fashion journalism? It's pretty overwhelming. Now how was that for a two minute intro? (don't hate me.)

By the way I really am currently fascinated with cloche hats. Fashion most definitely became a revolution in the 20's where designers innovations commenced thereafter. Precisely, Molyneaux had dazzling garments and accessories; including the cloche hat. After watching Angelina Jolie in changeling I'm considering investing in one -I'll let you know how the hunt goes.

I'm hoping for a rendezvous with all of you at some point.
Grand bisous à vous tous! Oh and vintage dreams, my darlings!

Vintage Mannequin

I'm just another species of human nature with an inquisitve mind.

I'm a collector of magazines and I have a cat that goes by Ollie, known as bastard occasionally.
